The recent elections have many hoping there’s a bull’s-eye on the back of the abortion industry; however, now is not the time to be complacent, former Congressman and Fox News contributor Allen West told 250 Vitae Foundation supporters on Sunday night in Columbia, Mo.

The retired U.S. Army veteran talked about how the Army would conduct an After Action Review, even if it was a successful operation.  You would celebrate that night, but you had to go back out the next day to meet up with the enemy—and be ready for that counter attack.  He’s glad Vitae is there at the ready.

“I cannot think of a better organization, a better message, a better time for the pro-life movement to go on the offense than right now in the United States of America,” West stated.

He cautioned to be prepared for a counter attack, and it’s already starting, with Google and Facebook going after certain news sites they consider “fake news.”  West likened this time period to the second Star Wars movie title, “The Empire Strikes Back,” and we have to be prepared.

“We have the opportunity to destroy progressive socialism,” West told the crowd.  “We’ve got an opportunity to strike before they strike back.  It’s coming and it’s going to be a vicious counter-attack.”

Vitae President Rob Rysavy suggested that we should now shift our efforts from a pro-life political warfare to pro-life political accountability.

“Our politicians have made some promises, and we should work to ensure those promises come to fruition,” Rysavy stated.

He announced that when something is working, stick with it.  The Vitae approach is working here in Missouri, where collaboration with the Knights of Columbus and pregnancy centers across the state is driving abortion numbers down, and the rate of abortion is also going down.

“We need to break the cycle of chaos in which these abortion-vulnerable women find themselves,” the Vitae president told the crowd.

Rysavy noted that the culture must change.  He noted that even though we see hope, abortion mills are still operating and tomorrow abortion will kill 3,000 children in the womb.

“If she never arrives at the pregnancy center, there is no miracle, no life saved, no cultural change.  Vitae’s research and subsequent messaging is the first step in putting her on the right path, the critical element in getting her in the door,” Rysavy explained.

West emphasized that “no one wants to a be part of a death culture.  But if we’re not careful, that could be the legacy we pass on.

“We will not be truly blessed as a nation until we right this wrong,” he noted.  “If we are a country that continues to have a business in killing our future generations, God will not bless America.”

Vitae Senior Market Director Stacey Kromer presented a map showing Pregnancy Help Centers and abortion clinic locations across the country.  West was struck by that map.

“I want you to pay attention to where these Planned Parenthood centers are.  It tells you what happened a couple weeks ago on November 8.  If you overlay this map with the recent electoral map, there’s a direct correlation,” West noted.  The urban centers are the primary locations for abortion facilities, where you find the Blue States in this last election.

West, the CEO of the National Center for Policy Analysis and noted African American leader, brought up how abortion has led to millions of innocent deaths in the black community.

“I came from the same neighborhood as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Since the Roe decision, almost 15 million African American children won’t know about Dr. King’s dream,” West said.

Vitae took to four urban centers in its latest Right Brain research study.  Kromer explained how Vitae interviewed actual Planned Parenthood clients from four major media markets:  Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and Miami.

“We identified the weaknesses of Planned Parenthood.  They advertise, ‘Care. No Matter What.’  But the respondents know that their promises of healthcare are deceptive,” Kromer said.  “Women are so desperate and afraid that they will tolerate poor treatment.  Participants believed that Planned Parenthood was withholding knowledge or options; was faking the relationship for profit; and made them feel like they were part of an assembly line.

“Healthcare?  Hardly,” Kromer told the crowd.

Respondents in this study were not aware of the existence of Pregnancy Help Centers though they outnumber abortion providers 4 to 1.

“We need to build the Pregnancy Help Center brand.  Everything has a brand and when marketed correctly, the brand becomes top of mind when a service or product is needed.  From a farm in the country to a high rise in a big city, 2,100 Pregnancy Help Centers are prepared to serve and save women,” Kromer explained.

As a country, West said we continue to see the decimation of the American family and a failure of education opportunities for future generations of children.  He noted we want to get back to those fundamental principles and values that made this country what it was.

“I always tell people there’s a difference between opportunity and mandate, when you look at politics.  We don’t have a mandate yet, but we have an opportunity to go back and tell the American people what makes us great.  Tell the American people the importance of all these critical issues.  One of the most critical issues is the First Inalienable Right that Thomas Jefferson wrote for the Declaration of Independence.  And that is life,” West noted.

“You’re here because you want to be a part of something that’s positive for subsequent generations.  There’s nothing greater than to stand up for the greatest of rights.  Vitae needs you to join in this fight.  They need people who can help them do more research,” West urged.  “I’m pleading with you to get on this battlefield and fight for the first inalienable right.  If not, then we’ve lost what the Founding Fathers have given us.”

If you’d like to heed Col. West’s words and help Vitae with its mission of helping save women and their babies from the brutality of abortion, please donate today.  After all, what will future generations say about us if we don’t join this fight for life—our first inalienable right?
