The contest is open to students in grades 7 through 12 during the 2018-2019 school year.  Contestants must be residents of Osage County, Missouri.

Theme: “Encouraging A Culture of Life”
The Vitae Foundation’s mission is to encourage a culture of life through research-based messaging and mass media. We are looking for youth from Osage County, Missouri, to take a stand and inform society about the life issues you feel are important. Topics you may wish to address are: Abortion, Bullying, Elderly or Child Abuse, Euthanasia, Pornography, Human Trafficking and Increased Violence. Envision with us a future where each life is respected and protected!

2 Grand Prize Winners:
Ceremonial first pitch opportunity plus 4 Box seats

Participant Prize:
4 Loge section tickets for first 125 students who submit an essay. All remaining entrants receive a $25 Gift Card.

4 Box seat tickets will be awarded to the winner in each of the 13 groups:
7, 8, 9, 10, 11-12th Grades at Osage County R-III (Westphalia) and Osage County 7th-12th grades who are enrolled outside of Osage County or who are Home Schooled in Osage County; 7th- 8th Grades at St. Joseph Catholic School, Westphalia; Sacred Heart School, Rich Fountain; Immaculate Conception School, Loose Creek; Holy Family School, Freeburg; St. George School, Linn; and St. Mary School, Frankenstein; 7th-12th Grades at Osage County R-1 (Chamois) and 7th-12th Osage County R-II (Linn).

Each student who provides a qualifying entry will be eligible to win a $250 voucher, awarded by Vitae, to be used for an electronic item (i.e. iPad or laptop) to assist with their education.
