John Goedde has brought his passion for life to a mission that he wants to share with everyone he meets. As a market director for the Vitae Foundation, John oversees the Washington, D.C. area and numerous fundraising events in Missouri. A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Missouri, John spent 35 years as an administrator for IBM before retiring in 2017. In June of 2017, John jumped at the opportunity to join the Vitae team, and work on a cause that was close to his heart. John and his wife, Susan, have supported Vitae and its mission for more than 15 years.
John was raised in a staunchly pro-life family. The youngest of five, John grew up witnessing his parents tirelessly volunteering and generously donating to Vitae and other pro-life causes. His pro-life views were also impacted by the lives of five of his aunts and uncles—all members of religious communities.
Throughout the years, John has engaged in numerous community activities in the Jefferson City area: the Eagles Club, the Optimist Club, the Holy Name Society at his church, and the Jefferson City Animal Shelter. John also participated in the Volunteering in Corrections program with the Diocese of Jefferson City.
John and his wife are the parents of one adult daughter, Mallory, who resides in Columbia, Missouri.
