Derren Dettloff

Director of Digital Marketing

Derren earned his Bachelor’s degree in Advertising at Central Michigan University. After moving to Kansas City, Missouri, Derren worked for a large digital marketing company managing large-scale clients in a variety of industries. After meeting his wife, Derren relocated to the Jefferson City, Missouri area where he worked at a much smaller agency with a wide variety of clients. While he enjoyed the work, he felt there was more he could do with a great impact which led him to Vitae Foundation. Being adopted himself, he is passionate about protecting life, no matter the circumstance.

Derren Dettloff joined the Vitae team first as a Digital Strategist focusing on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and then transitioned into his current role as Director of Digital Marketing, overseeing the Research Application Team. The Research Application Team works directly with Pregnancy Help Centers to manage their digital presence and digital marketing. Derren’s team uses Vitae’s research to create effective marketing strategies to help them more easily reach abortion-determined women.

After Derren settled into his new role, he began to recognize that the needs of Pregnancy Help Centers went beyond the technical and traditional marketing that his team provided. He noticed the need for creative photo and video assets. With his hobby being photography and videography, he offered and was quickly put into action to begin creating these digital assets for Vitae Foundation and Pregnancy Help Centers.

Derren married his wife, Jessi in 2021 and he now has three step-daughters, Kirstyn, Ayala and Eloise. He also has a sweet dog named Toggles, who quickly became the “office dog” after frequent “field trips” to the office. Derren enjoys skydiving (how he met Jessi!), CrossFit, Onewheels and photography. He says “I enjoy working at Vitae because not only because of our amazing team, but because I get to see the impact of my work each day as abortion-determined women are connected with Pregnancy Help Centers and end up choosing life.”
