This is just one of many stories we see every day from women who are able to find us on the internet thanks to Vitae Foundation.
Mackenzie* was a twenty-year-old college student pursuing an education and hadn’t planned on becoming a mother any time soon. When she realized she might be pregnant, she immediately turned to Google to search for answers, which led her to contact Thrive Express Savannah and make an appointment.
When Mackenzie came into Thrive the next day, she thought she might be anywhere from eight to fourteen weeks pregnant. Regardless, she felt like it was impossible to have the baby and continue attending classes to complete her college education. In the face of having to choose one of the two futures, Mackenzie expressed her interest in abortion.
The attentive and friendly patient advocates at Thrive Express Savannah discussed pregnancy options with Mackenzie, which included testing services and a limited obstetric ultrasound. Mackenzie was absolutely shocked to discover that she was thirty-three weeks pregnant! Once she saw her baby on the ultrasound, Mackenzie decided to choose life after all and moved in with her mother for support.
What a difference standard imaging can make in the lives of both mother and baby!
