Last week, Vitae Foundation had an unforgettable week in Washington, D.C., filled with impactful meetings, bold action, and moments of inspiration. Here’s a glimpse into how your support fuels our mission:

Monday

Our team braved freezing temperatures to attend the Inauguration of President Trump and network with other pro-life advocates at the Liberty Ball.

Vitae Foundation was honored to have been invited to be part of such a historic moment. We look forward to the future under a President who has already taken many actions to protect women and their preborn babies.

Tuesday

We met with United States Representative Eric Burlison, a champion of the Pro-Life Movement, to discuss shared goals, including the introduction of the Life at Conception Act, affirming the rights of the preborn as persons under the Constitution.

Vitae Foundation’s endorsement was included in Rep. Burlison’s press release regarding this new legislation.

Wednesday

Dr. Jeff Pauls, our Director of Research, was able to present the findings from the abortion healing research study to leaders at the Diocese of Arlington‘s Marriage, Family and Respect Life Office and the Office of Pro-Life Activities at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). These meetings highlighted the transformative power of our work. Each group was eager to hear more, and we look forward to returning again after our men’s study to share more findings they can use within the Catholic community.

Thursday

A day of powerful advocacy:

  •  We met with U.S. Representative Bob Onder and his staff, sharing our Pro-Woman Policy Guide, which was warmly received for its practical insights for policymakers. Representative Onder had a vast knowledge of Vitae’s work and praised the organization for its cutting-edge strategies.
  • Later that day, we met with The Federal Policy Director at Americans United for Life (AUL) to discuss the distribution of our research findings, specifically about effective messaging to defund Planned Parenthood, into the hands of several congressional committees. Additionally, Vitae Foundation joined in with a coalition of leading pro-life organizations to call on the Trump Administration to take action on the abortion pill, urging the reinstatement of basic safety measures and the enforcement of the Comstock Act.
  • Networking at the Vans for Life Gala introduced new allies to Vitae’s work. In attendance were keynote speaker Abby Johnson and pro-life hero Bishop Joseph Strickland.

Friday

The team enjoyed attending the March for Life Rally near the Washington Monument where they heard many dignitaries speak powerfully about life, the Pro-Life Movement, and why they march. Speakers included newly elected Vice President JD Vance, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a former abortionist turned pro-life activist, and several prominent U.S. senators and representatives.

After the rally, they joined tens of thousands at the National March for Life which was a humbling experience. It was spectacular to see so many braving the cold conditions in the name of life!

Networking continued during the Rose Gala where Vitae connected with pro-life leaders from as far as Alaska and Italy, who are now self-proclaimed Vitae fans and supporters.

After such an inspirational and action-packed week, our team has returned ready to continue the important work of freeing women and babies from the culture of death and putting an end to the greatest human rights tragedy of our time.

Thank you for making this possible. Together, we are building a future where abortion is unthinkable.

Gratefully,
