Clementine
Clementine* scheduled an appointment with our pregnancy center with a simple request: she needed support. When she arrived, she explained that she was pregnant and unsure of what to do.
As we listened, her story unfolded.
She had recently fled an abusive relationship. After moving from out of state to be with her partner, his behavior had become increasingly aggressive. Feeling trapped and afraid, she left—and was now staying with a friend, trying to rebuild her life. That’s when she found out she was pregnant.
Clementine’s fears ran deep. She was terrified her ex would discover the pregnancy, try to take the child from her, or use the baby as a way to stay connected to her. She wasn’t comfortable with the idea of abortion, but she couldn’t imagine how she could safely have this child.
With gentle compassion, her advocate and nurse sat with her in the tension—listening, validating and helping her process her fears. They talked through every option. They gave her space to breathe.
A pregnancy test confirmed what she already knew, and the nurse began an ultrasound. As her baby appeared on the screen—tiny and moving—Clementine’s face lit up.
Before she left, she received referrals for domestic violence support, safe housing, legal aid, health insurance and OB care. She walked out still facing challenges, but no longer alone.
We kept in close contact over the following weeks. Clementine returned for another ultrasound, more conversations and more encouragement.
And then, one day, we heard she had chosen life.
She’s working with domestic violence advocates, preparing for motherhood and finally settling into a stable home. Clementine’s story isn’t easy—but it is beautiful. And we’ll be here to walk with her every step of the way.

Jordan
Jordan* came to LifeSpring on a Friday in December, determined to schedule an abortion. Unsure of the father and overwhelmed by the cost of the procedure at Planned Parenthood, she searched online for a “free ultrasound.” That search led her to us—likely through one of Vitae’s Google ads.
When she returned for her ultrasound just a few days later, everything changed.
She was quiet at first, bracing herself for the appointment. But then came the image on the screen: two heartbeats. Twins.
In that moment, something changed. Jordan called a close friend—someone who had been inviting her to church and gently encouraging her toward faith. That friend spoke life and hope over her on the phone, and the truth began to take root.
By the end of the visit, this young woman had made up her mind: she was going to parent.
Jordan has already contacted the local hospital for prenatal care, and our team is helping her build a network of practical and emotional support. We plan to walk with her every step of the way over the next two years, offering encouragement, resources and community.
