Former Utah congresswoman Mia Love will be the keynote speaker at the Vitae Foundation’s Annual Columbia Pro-Life Event on Tuesday, June 29, at the Hampton Inn & Suites Columbia at the University of Missouri, 1225 Fellow’s Place Blvd.  The dinner event will begin at 7 p.m.  The emcee will be talk show host Gary Nolan.

“Every time we kill a child, we, all of us, actually suffer.  We lose a little bit of ourselves, and we lose a whole lot of our future.” Love said.

She took on the abortion industry when she served in the U.S. Congress as the only freshman on the Select Panel for Infant Lives, investigating the selling of organs on the free market.  Representing the 4th Congressional District of Utah, she earned the Marilyn Musgrave “Defender of Life Award” for her work protecting life in Congress.  Love is the first and only Republican Black female to serve in Congress.  Today Love uses her conservative voice as a CNN correspondent.

“For the past three decades, Black women chose abortion nearly 4 times more than that of white women,” Vitae Foundation President Debbie Stokes said.  “We want to learn from Mia how to better understand this dynamic so Vitae can communicate life-saving messages to women of color more effectively.”

Love is the daughter of legal immigrants from Haiti and shares an impassioned story about her parents’ decision not to abort her.  She is a wife, mother of three children, and a proud American.  “There is great cause for confidence in our ability to restore our families, communities, the economy, and bring greatness to this nation.  This is the United States of America, and we’ve never been a nation of fear, blame or failure.”

“As a champion for both immigration reform and protecting life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all, we look forward to hearing Mia’s unique perspective on the life issue,” Senior Market Director Stacey Kromer beams.

The event raises funds to promote a culture of life and to help educate women facing unplanned pregnancies about resources available which can assist them in making a life-affirming decision.  Vitae’s Right Brain research and messaging fuels the digital strategies that help Pregnancy Help Centers reach abortion-minded women.  Registration is $100 ($70 is tax deductible) and can be made online at VitaeFoundation.org/events or by calling 573-634-4316.

The Vitae Foundation is a national non-profit organization which uses digital media campaigns to reach women facing unplanned pregnancies.  Vitae uses Right Brain research and messaging to advance a culture of life.  Vitae’s presence in the mid-Missouri media market includes Meet Life efforts, Google Ads (paid Google search), website development and search engine optimization.  Vitae ads run on 1400 AM KFRU, 94.3 FM KATI and all St. Louis Cardinals Radio Network stations and on the Missouri Tiger Radio Network during football games.
