I have been traveling for work quite a bit lately—facilitating new emotional research studies, speaking about the urgency to address abortion pill access, and meeting with incredible pro-life leaders for some new collaborative efforts.
Through all of this travel, God has recently laid something on my heart to share every chance I get, and today I would like to share it with you, as well.
Our research at Vitae Foundation has shown that the abortion industry is clearly focusing their effort on fear and confusion. In fact, we have seen it in multiple studies over the past thirty years, and most recently in a study that we’re working on right now that I look forward to sharing with you very soon.
To further validate this, a few months ago, I slipped into a pro-abortion educational workshop and listened to the former CEO of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards, share about how “very scary” this post-Roe world is that we live in. She had a handwritten note that she referred to often as she carefully wove in a narrative that was laced with fear-based speaking points at every turn . . . she knows fear is contagious.
But do you know why the abortion industry focuses their strategies on fear?
Because I believe they know that courage is the answer to fear, and honestly, they are probably fearful of that! That’s why they attempt to make choosing abortion a courageous decision for women. Thankfully we know the truth.
There is nothing courageous about ending the life of another human being. But courage will be the answer to ending this human rights atrocity.
The kind of courage:
to love people enough to tell them the truth about abortion
for women to choose life despite their difficult circumstances
for men to step into their roles as fathers
to get uncomfortable and do the hard things as leaders
for us to give sacrificially
Courage is the answer, and thankfully courage, like fear, is also contagious!
